I completed my undergraduate training in South Africa. My postgraduate training was at York University, Toronto, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the Dean’s Honour Roll. My honour’s thesis was awarded the Ivana Guglietti-Kelly Prize for outstanding qualitative research. I completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University, NSW. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation.
My initial training was at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in the Early Psychosis Unit, Toronto. In Australia, I trained at Macquarie University Psychology Clinic, at the Waverley Family and Child Community Centre, and at the Pain Management Centre at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Since then, I have been working in private practice.
